Windows 7

by john on October 27, 2009

I am really liking Windows 7.  I have been playing with it for a while and don’t anticipate going back to XP like I did after using Vista.

There is a comprehensive and very well written review of Windows 7 at Ars.  I learned a couple of things:

  • Win + and Win – allow you to zoom your window.
  • Win P gives you external monitor options rather than depending on your laptop.
  • Win 7 also includes OCR of TIFF’s if you enable it.
  • Right clicking items in the taskbar gives you a handy context menu.
